From Jodi:

Happy Birthday Heather! We hope you have a wonderful birthday. Thanks for being such a wonderful sister-in-law. I am so grateful for the love and support you show us. We wish we could be there to celebrate with you and Heidi. Enjoy your day.
love, Jodi

From Ryan:

Think about this. Brett Favre just played a heck of a game and he is about to turn 40. I don't have anything profound to say that could assuage the heartache of being your age other then there is still a little bit of life that can be enjoyed at least through your 50's. And with recent medical advances you will be able to engage in such activities as walking and driving large cars well into your 80's. I've also been told that some of life's better moments come in the later years. You can tell me all about it. So cheer up, rent a season or two of the "Golden Girls", and enjoy this next chapter of your life. Happy birthday and here's to Parker, Tyler, and Davis insuring that your day is memorable.

Luv ya- Kim

Happy Birthday to both of you I love you dearly!! Oh the memories of the days back in college as roomies. One of my favorite, the "cuss Jar" we had to pay every time we would swear. I remember coming home from waitressing unloading my change in the jar... funny I think it became an incentive to cuss because then we got cool things for the apartment. I am pretty sure Heidi bought most the stuff! :)

Don't worry girlies, it's not so bad being 40. There is all sorts of help out there for us; walkers, canes, depends, lifts, tucks, botox, implants, extensions- lash AND hair, ....... well the list goes on. Now just what did they do a hundred years ago??? Oh, now wait, was I supposed to go to that link above and type all of this on the blog?....... I better look into some help for the brain over 40!! Maybe some young smart person could copy and paste this into the blog for me??

Luv ya- Kim

Memories From Heidi...

Just wanted to wish you a very happy birthday.

I really lucked out being a twin and especially one as amazing and cute as you! Oh wait, we're identical. :) I can't even imagine my life without you in it. You've always been my greatest friend and confidante. I have so many memories- running for office together, doing dance, fighting over clothes and boys, using our "twin power" to rule the house when mom and dad were gone, playing war to see who would pick up the clothes in our room, all the matching outfits and greatest alias. I think the first half of life, you were my security blanket too! These were all before we left the house. Going to college and all the fun times at BYU were a blast. I always looked up to you and was proud to call you my sister. You have such a warm outgoing personality and our friends always flocked to you...I think maybe you were the cutest, smartest, nicest of the two of us. :)

You should be really proud of yourself. You are incredibly talented, your a caring mom, a great sister and friend. It will be fun to be back in Utah and be able to spend more time with you. Thanks for always being there for me and being my best friend. Have a Happy Birthday!!!!

From Tiffany...

I've tried to think back and remember the first time I met Heather. She was only about 7 years old, and I remember being thrilled that another girl my age was my backdoor neighbor. Then I was elated that there were 2 of her. Both Heather and Heidi made my move bearable, and I have so many childhood memories of sleepovers, huts we made out in the trees, boys, movies, parties, our first day at Samuel Morgan, our first lockers in Jr. High, and so, so much more. However I think my favorite memories of her are my most recent. Like the last time I saw her on our way home from they gym. Heater's enthusiasm and zest for life, her fast talking, her huge smile, her laugh. I enjoy hearing about her day to day life, her struggles as a mother, her talent as a photographer, her love for her husband and family, her fun with her friends, her defiance of growing older, her ideas and opinions on everything from fashion to death (and I don't mean her 40th birthday). I've seen her grow from a little girl to a teen to a woman, and I am proud to call her my friend. I love you Heather! *Mwah*

From Rachel...

Heather,

I've put off writing an entry trying to come up with something original, funny, and/ or charming to tell you what a great friend and person I think you are. Ultimately, my pregnant mind has not allowed me to be creative - so plain and straightforward will have to suffice. Heather - you are one of a kind! Never have I had a friend like you. You are so fun to be with. Preston and I miss our date nights with you and Ron more than anything! You are so easy going, I love that about you. You are the most efficient person I have every met. Your mind works in ways that mine can't comprehend. I've never known anyone to bargain hunt like you. I'll never forget when I was pregnant with Annie and you gave me the low down on how to "shop" the GAP. I figure you probably have saved me a couple thousand dollars over the last 8 years just by what you taught. ;) In fact I think they've changed their return policy/ price adjustments because of you. You were going to run them out of business! I also have happy memories of yummy Jamba Juice and swedish fish brought to me at the hospital when I've had my babies. (Hint, hint)

Your eye for photography is evident in the amazing business you have built. But what is most impressive is the hours and hours you have put into learning and growing your business. ( I remember when Preston had to come to your house to set up your computer for you. ) You truly have a great work ethic that has made you successful - none of it has come by luck - but by hard work.

What I most love about you Heather is your kind heart. You have been there for me so many times and have listened and cared. You have always been good about opening your circle and pulling people in, and I count it as one of my greatest blessings that I was one of those people so many years ago. I hope you are having an amazing time in NYC and I hope that one of these times it will be us on a trip together!

You look amazing and you truly have the best ahead of you!

Love,
Rachel

Dear Heather,
Who knew when you were a little girl with big, big hair that you would grow up to become a woman with profound talent, capturing memories on film that will last for generations.
Who knew when you were a little girl, rocking back and forth with Heidi, that you would grow up to become a mother with beautiful children, blessed by your love.
Who still knows what you are going to become: you've only just begun, my dear.
It is a blessing to call you family - God bless your life, forever. Love, Aunt Janis

Love Mom

Dearest Heather, What a special day this was in 1969 for your Dad and myself. I had dreamed of having twins since I was a little girl. I used to play with two dolls instead of one. Not having a history of twins in our family, made the birth of you and Heidi even more special and very much a blessing from my Heavenly Father. You have always been so special to me and even more so now as I see you as a mother and my friend. You are so talented, so beautiful, and such a very important part of our family. People are drawn to you because of your fun and sunny personality. Keep smiling and count your blessings. Ron, Parker, Tyler and Davis should be at the top of the list right after your love for the Gospel and your Savior.

We look forward to celebrating with you AND Heidi when you both get back from your fun trips.

Always know how loved you are, Much love, Mom

40 is the new 20

Wow!!!..40!

Don't worry, you'll always be daddy's little girl!
You are still so young, I remember my 40th and to show you how long ago I remember being one of the first ones on the block to get a "stereo VCR" for my birthday (brand new technology)
I'm sure you'll have many special things to remember about your 40th thirty years from now. I am proud to be your dad, to be so close to you and witness all of your accomplishments.
My wish is this birthday be the best ever and may the future one's be even better.

Love dad.

Happy Birthday BFF!

Things I love to do with Heather:

1. SHOP
2. Eat
3. Go on trips
4. Watch you order at a restaurant with Ron
5. Running
6. Talk (sometimes I even get to say something)
7. Eat dessert
8. Start own businesses
9. Discuss important topics, like The Bachelor, BF (and what to wear to cover it), and lip gloss
10. Shop

Cousins by chance, friends by choice... cheesy, but true! Ron is what brought us together, I knew he was good for something!

Thanks for making life WAY, WAY more fun! Glad I could know you for 10 out of the last 40 years. The best news is that I will get to know you for the next 50+ years and I can't wait to see what kind of fun we will have. I am a better shopper because of you. I will never be in your league, but I am learning. Seriously, you have taught me so much about friendship, being a good mom, serving others, working hard, and living with passion.

Much love, Candy
